As part of the wider Perth and Kinross Repair Festival 2026, this vibrant event brings together local repairers, businesses, community groups, and young innovators to showcase the power of repair, reuse, and practical know‑how.

Fixit Kinross is your chance to discover the stories, skills, and people behind Kinross‑shire’s repair culture—past, present, and future.

And to learn how to save money!

Fixit Kinross 

Fixit Kinross is organised by Greener Kinross‑shire, in collaboration with the Kinross‑shire Repair Café, local businesses, and Kinross High School.  It is a day-long event taking place in FIXIT KINROSS MARQUEE where you will see businesses and local repair experts showcasing different repairs. You will be able to see simple repair skills that you can learn and more advanced expert skills from local businesses and traders. So whether you’re curious about fixing a broken household item, keen to learn new skills, or simply want to explore sustainable living in action, this festival invites everyone to get involved. And the event is FREE to attend but there will be an opportunity for donation and support local repair volunteers.

STALLS will feature businesses: 

Main Street Sewing – local textile business for dress making and alterations

Sole Saver – repair trader from Perth

Remake – repair and upcycle hub from Crieff

Pat Graham Tailoring – will present repurposed clothing stall

Ceramic Restoration Studio – our local Potterer, Sherri Conn will showcase restoring broken pottery

Kinross High School – pupils will organise sustainable fashion show and upcycle ideas for clothes with a swap shop.

Kinross Potager Garden – will demonstrate how to take plant cuttings

Repair cafe – a few repairers will showcase their skills:

Trudy will present old ways of textile repairs that are never out of fashion. David will repair bikes. Alistair will do a stall on electric safety and support the upgrading of Windows10 to Linux. John will show how to look after a guitar, and Neil will make your flute shine.

Special guest – Caroline Carmichael – Story teller and Artist from TRACS
